Okopi Peterson is from Benue State’s Otukpo Local Government Area, although he currently resides in Lagos, Nigeria. He comes from a family of six, was born to Mr. and Mrs. Adikwu, his loving parents, and has had an interesting childhood full of wonderful adventures.

Okopi Peterson is one of Nigeria’s most sought-after music pastors at the time, as seen by several YouTube recordings of his performances in prominent Nigerian churches.
Peterson Okopi was born in Lagos, Nigeria, on August 8, 1997, to Benue parents, Mr and Mrs Adikwu. He grew raised on the Nigerian Airforce Base in ikeja, Lagos, where his father was a member of the air force.
He comes from a family of six and had a lot of love and support from his family as a child. His family’s unwavering love and support enabled him to uncover his musical aptitude at the early age of five.
Peterson Okopi received his elementary and secondary education at the Nigerian Airforce primary and secondary school in Lagos. After secondary school, he continued his education at Yaba College of Technology (YabaTech) in Lagos, where he acquired an Ordinary National Diploma diploma in English.
He is now studying a B.Sc in Mass Communication at the National Open University of Nigeria (Noun).
Peterson Okopi began singing at a young age since he grew up in a music home where both parents are music enthusiasts. He began serving as a soloist in his church choir at the age of seven, and has since evolved into a full-fledged artiste preaching in other churches around the country.
He has ministered on some of Africa’s largest church platforms and events, including MMPRAISE, a yearly music praise concert organized by the REDEEMED CHRISTIAN CHURCH OF GOD (RCCG) to celebrate the birthday of their General Overseer, Pastor E.A. Adeboye, COZA, MASS CONCERT, REFLECTION CONCERT, to name a few. He has also performed on stages alongside prominent gospel music artists such as CHEVELE FRANKLIN, NATHANIEL BASSEY, DUNSIN OYEKAN, JUDIKAY, EFE NATHAN, B-JAY SAX, VICTORIA ORENZE, and others.
Peterson Okopi launched his debut single, AMAZING GOD, in 2018. A year later, following the enormous popularity of the song, he released BABA, his second single, in 2019, which was as well received. Following his signing with Twc Records, he released his third song, UP TO SOMETHING, in 2020.

In 2021, Peterson Okopi released another single, OGA EME, as well as a video for his AMAZING GOD song, in anticipation of the release of his first album, which was published in MAY 2021 under the label of TWC RECORDS. The SB album was one of the most anticipated albums of 2021, and after listening to it right now, there is no doubt that it was worth the wait.
