Biography of Pastor Johnson Funsho Odesola (Age , Wife)

Pastor Dr. Johnson Funsho Odesola, born on June 5, 1959, is the Assistant General Overseer in charge of administration and personnel of the Redeemed Christian Church of God. He is also an HIV/AIDS activist and an advocate for economic justice.

Author of almost 50 books and several studies on education, theology, law, sociology, HIV/AIDS, cultural concerns, missiology, history, and health-related topics.

A civil engineer who becomes a priest Pastor Johnson Odesola has a BA (Hons) degree in Theology from Greenwich School of Theology in London, as well as an LLB (Hons) and an MTh Degree in Missiology and Anthropology from Queen’s University of Belfast.

Pastor Johnson Funsho Odesola is also has a doctorate in Christian education from Ashland University and a doctorate in Intercultural Studies from Trinity International University. He has the title of Professor of Divinity at Trinity International Institute of Advance Studies. Adebisi Rachael is his wife. The marriage has three gorgeous girls as children. He is currently living in Nigeria.

Pastor Odesola is a distinguished specialist in Divinity, having obtained six PhDs, two master’s degrees, a postgraduate diploma, three Bachelor’s degrees, a Higher National Diploma, an Ordinary National Diploma, and Diplomas in various academic and theological disciplines from over nine local and international tertiary institutions.

Pastor Odesola, who has over forty years of distinguished service in the RCCG, was recently named the Continental Overseer for Africa 3 & Middle East. He is also the Pastor in Charge of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Region 1, Ebute Metta, Lagos, and the Assistant General Overseer for Administration and Personnel.

Pastor Johnson Funsho Odesola is also a well-known film actor and producer. In Nigeria, he is the director of Pistueo Faith Lift Productions Limited, a gospel film production ministry. In 2020, he made headlines with his epic gospel film, Jailer, which he co-produced with Mount Zion Faith Ministries.
