On November 25, 1985, Lovy Longomba Elias was born in Nairobi, Kenya. He has Congolese and East African descent. His grandpa Vicky Longomba was a member of TPOK Jazz, and his father Lovy Longomba Sr. was a member of the Congolese band Orchestra Super Mazembe.

After graduating from high school, Elias began his own musical career and co-founded the hip hop/souky musical duo Longombas with his brother Christian and cousin Masengo. In Kenya, the ensemble has received numerous honors.

The trio was dissolved after Elias and his brother moved to Los Angeles, California, in 2007.
