Pastor Wale Adefarasin, born on June 21, 1952, is the General Overseer of Guiding Light Assembly Church, with headquarters in Lagos-Park View Estate, Ikoyi, Lagos, Nigeria.
He has committed his life to God’s mission both within and outside of Nigeria for over thirty years. He is a firm believer in our country, Nigeria’s, corporate existence.
He is the Senior Pastor of a non-denominational church with branches in Lagos, Abuja, and London.

He was born to Joseph Adetunji Adefarasin, a Nigerian High Court Judge from Ijebu Ode, and Hilda Adefarasin, a Lagos State Women’s Rights Activist. He is a social entrepreneur, international speaker, TV host of “The Heart That Matters,” and well-respected thought leader.
Pastor Wale Adefarasin is also the General Secretary of the Nigerian Pentecostal Fellowship, the Governing Apostle of the International Coalition of Apostles, an affiliate of the International Coalition of Apostles, and the leader of other pastor networks.
Pastor Wale Adefarasin is deeply committed to improving the country in which God has placed him. He is one of the most vocal proponents of national rejuvenation.
Pastor Wale Adefarasin has been a fighter for national reorientation and is actively striving to restore the ideals of integrity, honesty, and openness, beginning with the younger generation in their schools.
Pastor Wale Adefarasin has been married to Olaolu Adefarasin for about 30 years, and they have three children: a daughter (Ademide), two boys (Ademola and Adeolu), and a grandchild.

Pastor Wale Adefarasin was more concerned with bringing people to Christ than he was with generating a lot of money from his enterprises. His advise to Christians is to continually “seek those things that have a lasting worth, because everything on earth can be corrupted, therefore select those things that have everlasting value, which is crucial.” Seek the Kingdom’s things rather than earthly goods.
