P.I.A Obaseki church is Divine Grace of Glory Church located at Idunmwungha Town, After Egba Junction, Off Benin Auchi Road, Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria. BĂ©nin, Nigeria 300102 , he was living in Ibadan, where he was battling and suffering greatly; at one point, he worked as a bus conductor to keep his body and spirit going. Inside the bus, a woman addressed him and informed him that God had not called him to be where he was, and he was astounded by the woman’s bravery and boldness in speaking to him. He had to think about it after that since he couldn’t just dismiss it. The next week, someone very different from the first woman who boarded his vehicle shouted at me with passion, “Hay mister dude, this is not your place!” Then he asked him where he was supposed to be. He then told him, “Go and beg God.” A few weeks later, his company’s bus broke down, and he couldn’t find another.
He had a strong interest in the electrical industry. He has never done business before. He had no money to start the firm after approaching numerous people he knew for loans and none of them could help him. He eventually chose to build an empty dustbin kiosk along the roadside in Ibadan’s Orita challenging area, arranging empty boxes of electrical appliances/parts because he didn’t have any money to start the company. He went to electrical components wholesalers and asked them to offer him items and make refunds after sales, but none of them agreed to accept his request, so they ignored it. He was worried about the business because he couldn’t seat a home because to troubles with the house he had been renting for months. He’ll also go to the little garbage kiosk and sit next to it because it can’t hold a human. When people come to buy things from him, he would always tell them that his goods have just been finished but that he has ordered goods and they are on their way; some will be upset and walk out on him.
One faithful evening as he sat at his kiosk, he had so many clients who wanted to buy products from him, but he only had bulbs to sell them. One of the distributors he met a few weeks ago who refused to help him was also passing by, so he spotted him and saw numerous customers in his store; later that day, he came and met him and said to him, “I could see you have no goods in your shop, I said yes is true,” and he said, “can I trust you, I said very well by the grace of God.” He handed him his card and told him he could come and get the stuff on credit. He may then buy products on credit and pay them back after selling them.
However, after a year or so, he decided to travel outside of the nation to gain more money, and he travelled through Libya. But it was there that he almost died as God’s calling on his life became clearer and clearer, and with increasing intensity.
When he couldn’t take it any longer, he surrendered and started a fellowship in a harlot joint in the Libyan ghetto of Saba. As the fellowship was kept secret, many Nigerians joined it. As God would have it, the Nigerian government soon offered free flights back to Nigeria for Nigerians in Libya, and my request was fulfilled.
When he landed in Nigeria, he thanked God and immediately proceeded to the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) prayer mountain (Ori oke akikemi) in Ibadan to seek God’s face. On the third day, he saw himself removing ropes from those who were chained and praying for their liberation. When he returned from the camp, he went immediately to his hamlet to inform his mother about his calling, and her prayer released him for greatness under the leadership of the Holy Spirit. Because his late father, Rev. Peter Obaseki, was a gospel preacher under the Assemblies of God Church, his mother informed him that God wanted to use him to continue where his father left off.
But while he was still in the hamlet, he watched a man of God on TV proclaiming the gospel and calling for counseling, so he went to see the prophet, and as soon as he entered his office, he recognized God’s hand on his life and told him about it. He stated the reason for his visit to the man of God. The man of God eventually hired him after discovering that God had called him and that he was gifted.
He worked in that ministry for four years, as a video cameraman, an editor, an electrician in charge of the plant house (generator), an assistant sound engineer, and so on, and he was always joyful because he considered it as God’s job.
“Divine Grace of Glory Church” was founded on February 24, 2004, two (2) months before he departed, when he told his General Overseer of his intention to create his own ministry. The first church edifice, built by the help of God, was made of slabs and woods on a rented plot of ground. In February 2004, we embarked on our first crusade with children. He was a children’s pastor for eight months. Soon after, other adults began to arrive, and the church construction was erected within a year.
