Olaiya Igwe (Lukman Ebun Oloyede) is a Yoruba Nollywood actor and film producer.

Olaiya was born in Kenta, Abeokuta, Ogun State, Nigeria on July 27, 1957. He will be 65 in 2022.

He is well-known in Yoruba Nollywood films for his character interpretation skills and witty performances.

Olaiya had his primary education at St. Judes Primary School in Abeokuta before transferring to Premier Grammar School for his secondary studies.

He then attended Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, where he earned a degree in public communication. Later, he attended Crescent University and earned a Diploma in Film Performance and Communication Studies.

Olaiya began his acting career in the 1970s as a TV personality for the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA), where he performed in stage productions with the Musbau Shodimu Theatre Organisation.

His roles in films like as Ololade (Mr Money) and Iru Esin catapulted him to stardom.

He also stars in the popular Africa Magic TV program Awon Aladun De.

Olaiya is married, and his marriage has produced children.

When Olaiya revealed his political support for All Progressive Congress presidential candidate Bola Ahmed Tinubu, he was harshly criticized by internet.

Olaiya, on the other hand, claimed that he does not regret his choice of candidate.
