My heart is burdened this morning, Lord. My grief is immense. In the middle of all this suffering, I am grateful that you are God and I am not. I’m grateful that you are all-powerful, and that I don’t have to keep it all together or be strong for everyone in my life. You are my pillar of strength. When I can’t be there for my loved ones, you are. I’m grateful you’re all-knowing – that you know how this pain will end. That I don’t have to figure out what the following week, month, or year will be like because you’ve got it all figured out. And you guarantee that my feet will not slip. Lord, please help me! Please fortify me for today. Give me daily food so that I may get through this heartbreak. Thank you, God, for being there when I am in pain. Thank you, God, for the peace, grace, and joy that only you can provide. Please support me today. I pray in your name, Amen.
