Catholic Prayer for the Seven Gifts of the Holy Spirit
O Lord Jesus, I humbly beseech the compassionate Father through You to send the holy Spirit of grace, that He may bestow upon us His sevenfold gifts.
May He bestow upon us the gift of wisdom, which will cause us to savor the Tree of Life, which is none other than You; the gift of understanding, which will enlighten us; the gift of counsel, which will guide us in the path of righteousness; and the gift of fortitude, which will give us the strength to defeat the enemies of our sanctification and salvation.
May He bestow upon us the gift of knowledge, which will enable us to perceive Your teaching and differentiate between good and evil; the gift of piety, which will allow us to enjoy genuine peace; and the gift of fear, which will cause us to avoid all wrongdoing and the risk of offending Your Majesty.
All honor and thankfulness be given to the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit eternally.
