The hotel was officially launched on December 17, with Cameroon Prime Minister Joseph Dion Ngute in attendance.
Foyou Group, a family-controlled conglomerate founded by Cameroonian industrialist Samuel Foyou, has announced plans to review the share capital of Plasticam, its subsidiary that produces cardboard, plastic, and polystyrene packaging.
The intended capital reform was announced in a notice issued by the group’s extraordinary general meeting on August 12 in Douala, Cameroon’s economic capital.
Plasticam’s proposed share capital review has been added to the agenda. The board intends to change the subsidiary’s articles of organization and lower or enhance its capital, which is now fixed at CFA1 billion ($1.56 million).
The announcement comes about a month after Foyou’s alcohol beverage division, Societe Brasseries Samuel Foyou (Brasaf), introduced its first beer, as well as a range of soft drinks promoted as low in sugar and gas under the moniker “Krystal Drink.”
Brasaf’s foray into the intensely competitive alcoholic beverage business comes nearly eight years after Foyou created the Douala unit via deeds of establishment filed on July 10, 2014.
