Oghenemairo Okechukwu Ese, also known as Mairo Ese, was born in Lagos State, Nigeria, in the early 1980s. Mairo joined Christ throughout his adolescence, where he found his love of music and, subsequently, his calling as a worshipper. He is noted for his diverse combination of R&B and Soul, which he uses to convert songs into authentic worship experiences. His perception and performance of music is energetic and innovative, and it has distinguished him.
Mairo has served in a variety of positions at numerous churches. Beginning as a chorister and graduating to worship leader and music director in several parishes of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), House on the Rock (Jos), and The House of Freedom. He is presently the Music Director of This Present House, where he works alongside Pastor Tony Rapu.

Mairo has shared the stage with music legends like as Ron Kenoly, Lionel Peterson, Cobhams, Lara George, Nathaniel Bassey, Sammy Okposo, Tosin Martins, PITA, Glowreeyah Braimah, and a slew of others over the years.
He is a member of several worship groups, including Euphoria Worship Team and True Worshippers, and has ministered in Uganda, Tanzania, Ghana, the United Arab Emirates, Lebanon, and the United Kingdom, among others.
