Biography Of Josiah Olufemi Akindayomi (Wife , Children) – Josiah Olufemi Akindayomi founded and was the first general overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God.
The church, which is now regarded as the world’s fastest growing Pentecostal church, began in 1947 as an autonomous prayer association called the Glory of God Fellowship. In 1952, this group grew into the Redeemed Christian Church of God.
Josiah was born in 1909 in Ondo State, Nigeria to the Akindayomi family and died in 1980 at the age of 71. Pastor Adeboye’s appointment was then official, and he has served as the church’s general overseer ever since.
God is still accomplishing great things today via the Redeemed Christian Church of God all throughout the world. The number of parishes increased dramatically in 1981.
There were around 2,000 church parishes in Nigeria at the time of the latest count. The church can also be found in other African countries, Europe, the Americas, and the Caribbean.
