Rev. Hills Agbo is a minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ with a powerful healing and teaching grace and a strong desire to restore Kingdom dominion authority.
He was born on December 23, 1985, in Benue State’s Otukpo Local Government. He completed his secondary school at LEA Primary School Otukpo before enrolling at Federal Government College, Otobi, where he graduated in 2003.
In 2005, he registered for remedial studies at Benue State University for a pre-degree program with the idea of studying Medicine.
According to him, he worked exceptionally hard and was one of the best in Remedial Studies that year, but in a strange twist of fate, Medicine was awarded to only two Remedial Students of Tiv descent, while he was offered admission to study Physics instead of Medicine and Surgery. In exasperation, he accepted the Physics course that was given to him, despite his lack of interest in the subject.
Due to a lack of interest, Reverend Hillary became dissatisfied, despondent, and struggled with the course. When his 300 level score was revealed, he was at his lowest point in his last year. Bravo! He was near the bottom of his class, infested with Seventeen (17) carryovers, despite the fact that the school administration had placed him on probation.
He became the target of ridicule among his peers at school. Like the four leprous men at the city gate in 2 Kings 7 who said to each other, “Why stay here till we die? Hilary reached a decision: why stay here and be withdrawn? He told himself the harsh reality: it was time to move on, regardless of the storms.
Undaunted, Reverend Hilary followed God’s leading and chose a fresh JAMB form. Motivated by his ambition to study Medicine, which was nearly difficult to obtain, he applied for Psychology, which likewise dealt with humans.

The JAMB admission was released by the second semester of his 400 level, and he got enrolled to study Psychology. As a result, he left the Physics Department and began a new academic path in the Psychology Department.
Adversity is believed to create character, yet it is also said to show character. It is hardly unexpected that Hilary’s narrative is one of God’s grace at work and sheer tenacity.

Persevering, he chose the finest parts of his life, got rid of the worst, and went on, recognizing that he could choose to take the good. Reverend Hilary converted a narrative of frustration into the finest orchestral in Benue State University history.
The young resilient Idoma lad from Ohimini, the worst student in Physics, will later graduate from the same university’s Psychology Department with a First Class Degree with a CGPA of 4.57.
His outstanding achievement set numerous University records, including the first “First Class” result in the Department of Psychology since the University’s founding in 1992. He was also named the overall best graduating student at Benue State University‘s 14th and 15th combined convocation, which took place on January 17, 2015. His exploit was rewarded with seven academic accolades, including the Tony and Awele Elumelu prize for excellence.
Hilary credited his uncommon feat to God when asked who was to blame. He claims to have a photographic memory that allows him to keep and replicate everything he sees. He also stated that there was a moment in school when he was had to read for 15 hours straight. Reverend Hillary enjoys reading and thinking creatively. He aspires to be a clinical psychology professor and a preacher of God’s Word.
