Prayer to the Holy Spirit for Universal Renewal (Catholic Prayer)

Holy Spirit, finish the job that Jesus started in us.
Let our prayers for the entire planet be productive and constant.
Bring forward the day when everyone of us will have a real spiritual existence.
Enliven our activity so that it might reach all human beings, those who have been redeemed by Christ’s Blood and all His descendants.

Take away our natural arrogance and replace it with holy humility, reverence for God, and unselfish courage.
Let no foolish attachment obstruct our state’s mission in life, nor personal interest divert us from the demands of justice.
May none of our schemes reduce love to our own tiny proportions.

May we all be noble in our pursuit and respect for truth, as well as our readiness to sacrifice even to the cross and death.
And may all of this be achieved in accordance with the Son’s final plea to His heavenly Father, as well as in accordance with the grace that Father and Son provide through You, the Spirit of love, to the Church and her institutions, to every soul and to all peoples.
